The Natural Stone Institute is pleased to announce that Katie Jensen (Triton Stone Group) has been selected to join the association’s executive committee as board secretary.

The Natural Stone Institute has announced the recipients of the 2020 Natural Stone Scholarship and Women in Stone Empowerment Scholarship. Both recipients will be celebrated during the association’s awards ceremony at TISE in Las Vegas this June.

The Natural Stone Institute will welcome three individuals to its board of directors in January 2022.

The winners of the 2019 Pinnacle Awards were announced during the Natural Stone Institute Awards Ceremony at TISE in Las Vegas, NV. Twenty-two projects were honored with Awards of Excellence. The 2019 Grande Pinnacle Award was presented to Pei Cobb Freed & Partners (New York, NY) for their work on 7 Bryant Park.

The Natural Stone Institute was proud to make a donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation in support of its R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment) program. The R.I.S.E. program builds 100% mortgage-free specially adapted smart homes for severely wounded veterans and first responders. This donation was made possible by Salado.

The Natural Stone Institute welcomed two individuals to its board of directors in January: Blake Christensen (Valley View Granite) and Amit Gupta (TAB/Amsum & Ash).

Natural stone and fabrication for U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Jay Fondren and his family in Texas were provided by Walker Zanger, Dee Brown, and Real Stone Veneers of Tennessee.
